WASHINGTON – The Coalition for Military Excellence (CME), a national organization dedicated to advocating for veterans and military excellence in the U.S. armed forces, issued the following statement to commemorate the Navy’s 250th birthday.
“CME proudly joins Americans across the nation in celebrating the 250th birthday of the United States Navy. For two and a half centuries, the Navy has stood as a powerful force for freedom, security, and excellence, defending our nation's interests at sea and projecting strength across the globe.
“Since its founding in 1775, the Navy has embodied the highest ideals of service, merit, and discipline. At CME, we honor the Navy’s enduring legacy and the generations of sailors who have sacrificed to keep America safe. Their dedication reflects the very principles CME exists to defend: military excellence, mission readiness, and the steadfast support of our veterans.
“As we commemorate this historic milestone, we reaffirm our commitment to advocating for a strong, capable Navy, one built on merit, led with integrity, and supported by policies that ensure readiness and respect for those who serve. The Navy’s 250 years of excellence is not just a legacy. It’s a standard we must continue to uphold for generations to come.”
