WASHINGTON – The Coalition for Military Excellence (CME), a national organization dedicated to advocating for veterans and military excellence in the U.S. armed forces, issued the following statement applauding President Trump for signing the VA Loan Program Reform Act into law. Coalition Partners state the following:

Amber Smith, CME Military Advisor:

“CME applauds the signing of the VA Loan Program Reform Act by President Donald Trump and commends Rep. Derrick Van Orden for championing this critical legislation. This new law represents a significant step forward in honoring our commitment to those who have served by ensuring that veterans facing financial hardship have a second chance to stay in their homes. This is a victory for military families, for veteran readiness, and for the values of honor, service, and excellence that define our armed forces.”

Francesca DiPaola, CEO of Homes For Veterans:

“By creating a permanent partial claims program within the VA Home Loan Program, this legislation strengthens the support system for veteran homeowners and brings the VA in line with other federal lending institutions. This reform not only helps prevent veteran homelessness but also reinforces the principle that no one who has worn the uniform of our nation should face the threat of losing their home without a fair and effective safety net. Thanks to President Trump, Rep. Van Orden, and all lawmakers who supported this bipartisan effort to protect the dignity and stability of our veteran community.”
