WASHINGTON – The Coalition for Military Excellence (CME), a national organization dedicated to advocating for veterans and military excellence in the U.S. armed forces, issued the following statement applauding the Veterans Health Administration's (VA) $800 million allocation for health care facility modernization.
CME applauds the VA for its decision to allocate an additional $800 million this fiscal year to modernize and improve VA health care facilities nationwide. This critical investment, bringing total Non-Recurring Maintenance (NRM) funding to $2.8 billion for fiscal year 2025, represents a meaningful step toward honoring the commitment our nation has made to its veterans.
Upgrading infrastructure across the VA, from essential safety systems to clinical space renovations, directly supports the delivery of timely, high-quality care that our veterans have rightfully earned. While more work remains to ensure comprehensive, world-class care for all veterans, this latest move reflects a serious effort by the VA and the Trump Administration to prioritize readiness, modernization, and excellence in veteran health care.
We urge Congress and federal agencies to build on this momentum, ensuring that our veterans receive not only gratitude but the highest standard of care, backed by modern facilities and a system worthy of their sacrifice.
The Coalition for Military Excellence (CME) is a national organization dedicated to advocating for veterans and military excellence in the U.S. armed forces.
