CME Honors Our Heroes As Wreaths Across America Day Approaches

WASHINGTON – The Coalition for Military Excellence (CME), a national organization dedicated to advocating for veterans and military excellence in the U.S. armed forces, issued the following statement in recognition of Wreaths Across America taking place this weekend:

“For more than three decades, Wreaths Across America has brought communities together across the nation, and around the world, to remember the fallen, honor those who serve, and teach the next generation about the cost of freedom. What began as a simple wreath-laying in Arlington has grown into a powerful, nationwide movement involving millions of volunteers, including thousands of children who are learning firsthand what service and sacrifice truly mean.

“This year, more than three million veterans’ wreaths will be placed at nearly 5,000 participating locations. Each wreath represents a life lived in service to our nation. Each volunteer represents a commitment to memory over apathy, unity over division, and gratitude over complacency.

“At CME, our mission is rooted in ensuring America’s military remains the strongest in the world, guided by merit, preparedness, retention, proper funding, and an unwavering commitment to honoring those who defend our nation. Wreaths Across America reflects that final pillar in its purest form. By speaking a veteran’s name aloud, thanking them, and reflecting on their life and legacy, we reaffirm the values that make our military exceptional and our nation secure.

Together, we can preserve the legacy of those who wore the uniform, and inspire the excellence needed to protect the next generation.
