CME Commends Military Operations Targeting Transnational Criminal Cartels

WASHINGTON – The Coalition for Military Excellence (CME), a national organization dedicated to advocating for veterans and military excellence in the U.S. armed forces, issued the following statement in response to recent coordinated U.S. military and interagency actions aimed at dismantling transnational narcotics networks that endanger American communities:

“CME strongly supports the Department of War, the Pentagon, and America’s warfighters in their efforts to confront and dismantle the violent transnational criminal cartels responsible for trafficking deadly narcotics into the United States. These organizations ruthlessly exploit vulnerable populations, destabilize our regional partners, and fuel an epidemic that has taken tens of thousands of American lives. When cartels threaten national security, undermine sovereignty, and target U.S. citizens, America has a responsibility to act with strength, precision, and resolve.

“CME commends these coordinated efforts to protect American families, as well as the Pentagon’s continued focus on ensuring operations are guided by sound intelligence, rigorous training, and the principle of minimizing harm while maximizing strategic impact.

“We applaud the Department of War and the men and women in uniform who execute these missions with honor. Their work helps secure our borders, protect American communities, and uphold the United States’ commitment to combating threats that undermine stability at home and abroad. CME will continue championing policies and resources that ensure our warfighters remain the world’s most capable force, where they are prepared, supported, and empowered to defend the American people,” said Amber Smith, CME Military Advisor.
